Aage Weimar was born in 1902 as the son of silversmith Evald Nielsen and his wife Marie (née Weimar). In 1924 he was trained as a silversmith at Grann & Laglye. He then received further training abroad. From 1927 to 1936 he was employed in his father's company as a silversmith and designer and in 1936 opened his own shop and workshop at Nørregade 2, Copenhagen. In 1947 Weimar moved the business to Frederiksberggade 2 with a workshop at Vestergade 4. He closed his shop and workshop probably in 1968.
